Overview
Join W Hotels in Doha as a Reservations Clerk. This full-time, non-management position involves handling room bookings, modifications, cancellations, and guest requests through phone, fax, or email. You will identify guest needs for reservations, determine suitable room types, verify availability and pricing, and explain relevant policies like guarantees, special rates, and cancellations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all room reservations and related requests received remotely or by phone.
- Ascertain guest requirements and match them to appropriate room types.
- Verify availability and applicable tariffs for requested rooms.
- Communicate hotel policies concerning reservations, guarantees, special and cancellation charges to callers.
- Accurately document special requests and handle inquiries about hotel amenities and room accommodations.
- Apply sales techniques aimed at maximizing hotel revenue.
- Input and manage reservation details within the booking system, including codes and tariffs for special room types such as courtesy rooms, employee discounts, travel agency rates, and wholesale bookings.
- Follow escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
- Adhere to company policies including maintaining professional appearance, confidentiality, and security protocols.
- Welcome and engage guests according to company standards, anticipating and fulfilling their service needs, including assisting guests with disabilities.
- Use clear, professional communication and proper telephone etiquette.
- Foster positive working relationships with team members and contribute towards shared goals.
- Comply with quality assurance standards.
- Perform manual tasks involving moving items up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Execute other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Work Experience: No prior related experience required.
- Supervisory Experience: Not necessary.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required.
