Cleansing Services Officer - Afternoon Shift

Role Summary

As a Cleansing Services Officer, you will autonomously deliver cleansing operations across the city's public domain. This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, identifying illegal dumping, and preserving public assets' usability and safety.

Working Conditions and Schedule

• Outdoor work environment
• 38 hours per week, operating a 9-day fortnight schedule
• Shift hours: 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Compensation and Benefits

• Weekly pay starting from $1,311.74
• Additional 12% superannuation contributions
• Adverse Working Conditions Allowance as per Local Government (State) Award 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying illegal waste dumping and coordinating litter collection efforts
• Conducting pressure washing and cleaning of public amenities including barbecue areas
• Performing various tasks essential to the long-term management and upkeep of city assets and facilities
• Inspecting public domains and assets to minimize council's liability exposure

Candidate Profile

• Reliable team player with prior experience working in outdoor or operational roles
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of the job and adaptable to evolving priorities
• Committed to safety protocols and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace culture

Mandatory Qualifications

• Current New South Wales Driver's Licence
• White Card for construction site safety
