Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Cleanroom Technician to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanroom facility's mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring environmental standards are consistently met, and supporting tool installations and validations within a controlled setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of cleanroom systems including HVAC, chillers, exhaust, compressed air, DI water, and gas lines.
- Operate specialized equipment and machinery while adhering to cleanroom attire protocols.
- Assist in installation, troubleshooting, and repair activities related to mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
- Monitor and record cleanroom environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and particle concentrations.
- Support equipment installations, relocations, and shutdown preparations as needed.
- Observe building management and environmental control systems to detect alarms or unusual conditions promptly.
- Daily documentation of environmental condition checks and immediate reporting of any deviations.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and processes in batch logs and checklists.
- Ensure contamination control by careful handling and transport of materials.
- Strictly follow gowning and hygiene standards for safety compliance.
- Participate in cleanroom validations, and equipment calibration as required.
- Promptly report equipment failures or quality concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Prior experience in cleanroom operations, laboratory, or other controlled environments is advantageous.
- At least 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably within a cleanroom or high-technology manufacturing setting.
- Fundamental knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Hands-on experience working in Class 100 to 1000 cleanrooms is preferred.
