About the Role
The Portland Area Manager is responsible for supervising janitorial teams across multiple locations, ensuring high quality and efficient cleaning and maintenance services. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer relationship management, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily janitorial operations at various sites, maintaining or exceeding cleanliness standards.
- Lead, train, and develop janitorial staff and supervisors, fostering a culture focused on teamwork and ongoing improvement.
- Conduct frequent site inspections and quality audits, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their requirements and ensuring satisfaction with service delivery.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, creating a safe work environment for employees.
- Manage inventory for cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure adequate resources for operational teams.
- Prepare and oversee budgets relating to labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance for janitorial services.
- Handle client and staff complaints promptly and professionally.
- Apply and track sustainable cleaning methods and product usage.
- Generate operational reports and performance analyses for senior management review.
