Job description
Role Overview and Purpose
The Cleaning Operative is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of Multrees Walk Shopping Centre through oversight of external cleaning contracts, ensuring a pleasant environment for visitors.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform internal cleaning tasks including corridors, stairwells, back of house areas, common spaces, and toilets within the centre.
- Conduct external cleaning duties such as deck scrubbing, litter collection, weed removal, and routine inspections to uphold tidiness around Multrees Walk.
- Regularly clean glass surfaces, particularly the glazing at the two office entrances.
- Operate cleaning machinery including both external cleaning machines and smaller indoor units.
- Manage waste and recycling by collecting waste materials from tenant back-of-house areas and transporting them to the service road for segregation.
- Use balers to compact segregated recyclable materials ready for collection.
- Immediately report any faults or issues observed to the management team for prompt action.
- Additional duties as required, adapting to the evolving needs of the organisation and its operational goals.
