Role Overview
McLean Farms invites dedicated leaders motivated by outdoor work and team management to apply for the Cleaning Crew Supervisor position within our Poultry Services team. This role centers on leading a team responsible for sanitizing and preparing poultry sheds, ensuring compliance with high standards of hygiene, animal care, and biosecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage cleaning teams across various poultry locations, guaranteeing adherence to production timelines and hygiene benchmarks.
- Plan and execute shed cleaning and turnover processes timely and efficiently.
- Train and guide Leading Hands, staff, and seasonal workers to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Support bird handling tasks including placement, movement, vaccination, and removal when necessary.
- Oversee maintenance and use of cleaning machinery, vehicles, and tools to maximize operational efficacy.
- Monitor team dynamics to foster a safe, positive, and productive working environment.
- Conduct regular safety checks, deliver toolbox meetings, and enforce workplace health and safety compliance.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, training documentation, and cleaning records.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience leading teams within poultry, agriculture, or similar operational settings.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with firm control over multiple task coordination.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable in using high-pressure cleaning equipment with good mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Awareness of biosecurity rules, animal welfare practices, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work physically demanding shifts across several poultry sites.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
