Role Overview
This position requires adhering to established cleaning protocols and schedules, maintaining high standards of cleanliness including housekeeping duties in a dynamic office setting. Responsibilities involve setting up and preparing areas for breakfast and lunch services, ensuring all necessary supplies are fully stocked, well organized, and accessible. The candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach to continuously enhance quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks, such as window cleaning, following proper specifications and health and safety guidelines.
- Carry out housekeeping functions to support daily office operations, including the setup of kitchen and dining areas for meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of food prep zones, utensils, and equipment, ensuring readiness for use.
- Monitor and replenish consumables, including food items, beverages, cleaning supplies, and other essentials in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide timely updates to supervisors regarding any on-site changes.
- Coordinate with supervisors or line managers to review assigned sites and tasks through the Jobber system.
- Maintain punctuality and comply with scheduled work hours.
- Deliver exemplary work demonstrating a cooperative team attitude.
- Continuously seek to elevate work quality and meet expectations set by managers, clients, and the company.
- Respond promptly to reasonable requests from the company or clients.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of cleaning products, tools, and materials.
- Apply initiative to address problems appropriately.
- Maintain professional demeanor, appearance, and wear appropriate clothing or PPE consistently.
- Communicate any unresolved cleaning or housekeeping concerns effectively.
Experience and Skills
Experience within the cleaning industry is essential. The role demands the capacity to interact with client personnel and visitors tactfully and diplomatically to secure cooperation on various matters.
Additional Responsibilities
- Supervise less experienced staff when required, ensuring quality control of their work.
- Take responsibility for the care and proper use of tools, whether owned by the client or company.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company and client information.
Communication and Liaison
The job requires mostly internal oral and written communication, primarily with site managers and client staff. Occasionally, the role involves interactions with contractors, visitors, inspectors, and regulatory officials. The conduct of the job holder significantly influences the client’s public image, costs, and operational efficiency.
