About the Role

Kindred is seeking reliable and industrious cleaners to work at an industrial site located in Clevedon, North Somerset (postcode BS21 6UJ, Kenn). This part-time position is important in maintaining the hygiene and welcoming appearance of classrooms, toilets, and shared spaces, contributing directly to a safe environment and positive experience for all building users.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and sanitising surfaces and furniture.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
• Replenish necessary supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
• Perform scheduled deep cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning and floor polishing, using suitable materials to preserve surfaces and equipment.
• Operate cleaning machinery like buffers, steamers, and vacuum cleaners safely and store them properly after use.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, especially relating to chemical use (COSHH).
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or damages promptly to ensure workplace safety.
• Work independently to complete tasks on schedule and assist colleagues when needed to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Uphold Kindred's values by maintaining professional, respectful interactions with staff, clients, and visitors while cleaning.

Requirements

• Pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as a condition of employment.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the role with reasonable accommodations if required.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and work safely with minimal supervision.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks within specified timeframes.
• Basic communication skills in English are necessary; native fluency is not required.
• Availability to work fixed shifts Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:30.
