Position Summary

This role of Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, sanitizing restrooms and lunchrooms, emptying waste bins, and restocking supplies. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines and cleaning schedules, as well as reporting maintenance needs and using cleaning equipment safely. The work shift is from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform floor upkeep through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and occasionally waxing or polishing various floor types.
• Clean and dust furniture, shelves, countertops, and fixtures to maintain tidy surfaces.
• Sanitize restrooms by cleaning sinks, toilets, showers, and countertops while replenishing necessary supplies like soap and paper products.
• Maintain cleanliness in lunchroom areas, including appliances, sinks, counters, and floors.
• Empty and manage trash and recycling bins, replacing liners to ensure waste is handled properly.
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and restock areas as needed.
• Conduct specialized cleaning tasks such as cleaning windows, mirrors, walls, or upholstery depending on site requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Follow cleaning schedules diligently to cover all designated spaces in a punctual manner.
• Comply with health and safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any facility damages or repair needs to supervisors promptly.
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning machinery safely.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management about work progress, supply needs, or issues.
• Maintain designated areas to be neat, clean, and orderly at all times.
