About the Role
Join Magna's Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group, a dynamic sector pioneering automotive innovations impacting safety, style, and mobility. As a Cleaner, you'll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment in our facility, supporting cutting-edge automotive technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to company policies regarding punctuality and attendance.
- Conduct general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and restroom sanitization.
- Operate power floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment to uphold plant cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 environmental standards and utilize relevant company procedures.
- Maintain a safe workplace by following health, safety, and housekeeping regulations rigorously.
- Engage actively in the 5S program to promote workplace organization and cleanliness.
- Dispose of waste responsibly by emptying bins and replacing liners, clean windows, glass surfaces, and restock supplies as necessary.
- Safeguard cleaning materials and equipment, ensuring they are securely stored and adequately replenished.
Health & Safety Duties
- Comply with duties outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sections 28.
- Observe all safety and non-safety rules and regulations meticulously.
- Participate in environmental health and safety training sessions.
- Report hazards, defects, incidents, or compliance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Uphold policies against workplace violence, harassment, and domestic violence in accordance with Bill 168.
5S Program Involvement
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of plant and property.
- Ensure proper maintenance of floor markings and signage.
- Organize labels, communication boards, and red tag bins effectively.
- Take part in 5S kaizen events, audits, and champion the 5S culture throughout the workplace.

Qualifications & Skills
- No formal education mandatory; however, minimum Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalency is preferred.
- At least one year of relevant job experience is required.
- Strong communication and result-driven orientation.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully, adapt to various tasks, and demonstrate approachability and decisiveness.
- Diplomatic and self-motivated personality traits are valued.
