Cleaner

About the Role

We are seeking a Cleaner for our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role involves cleaning dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and other designated spaces, strictly adhering to sanitation protocols to create a welcoming environment for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitize dining spaces, including tables, chairs, and floors, keeping them tidy and inviting for patrons.
• Keep kitchen areas organized and clean, including work surfaces, equipment, and flooring, complying with food safety standards.
• Disinfect restrooms including toilets, sinks, and fixtures to uphold hygienic conditions for both customers and staff.
• Manage waste by emptying bins and disposing of rubbish appropriately, following recycling and waste disposal procedures.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is necessary.
• Adhere to prescribed cleaning schedules and methods to ensure consistent and effective operations.
• Comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment and prevent accidents.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous cleaning experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with sanitation and hygiene practices, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and tools.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Effective communication skills and cooperative teamwork abilities.
• Availability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
