Our client is the foremost LPG supplier across New Zealand and Australia, providing efficient and timely delivery of LPG to households, businesses, and BBQ customers. With an extensive network of locations across New Zealand, they prioritize rapid service and safety for customers, employees, and the community through the use of automated tankers and exchange delivery systems.
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Class 2 Driver to become part of a close-knit team based in Ohinewai. This position involves transporting gas bottles, engaging with customers, conducting inventory and compliance inspections, and adhering strictly to safety protocols, including loading and unloading cylinders safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver LPG cylinders to various customer locations.
- Maintain courteous interactions with customers ensuring satisfactory service.
- Perform regular stocktaking and compliance verification tasks.
- Safely load and unload gas bottles, following all safety procedures rigorously.
Candidate Requirements
- Hold a valid, clean Class 2 driver's license.
- Possess a minimum of two years driving experience with a Class 2 or higher vehicle within New Zealand.
- Maintain a clean Ministry of Justice record.
- Be physically capable and fit to manage the demands of this role.
- Demonstrate strong work ethics with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Show eagerness to learn and adhere to given instructions.
- Forklift license and Dangerous Goods endorsement are advantageous; assistance to obtain these will be provided if necessary.
- Focus on health and safety due to handling of hazardous substances.
- Reliable transportation to commute to work.
