The Role
Reporting directly to the Credit Manager for Australia and New Zealand, you will manage the full lifecycle of customer credit claims from receipt to completion. This involves collaboration with Finance, Credit, and Sales teams to ensure smooth cash flow. Acting as the primary contact for customer inquiries, you will ensure claims are processed accurately and within agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, document, and assign customer credit claims to appropriate authorizers
- Verify claim details through effective communication with internal and external parties
- Process and authorize payments for approved claims adhering to company audit policies
- Monitor aged, unresolved, or challenging claims until resolution
- Collaborate with Finance, Credit, and Sales departments to address customer concerns
- Maintain thorough records and documentation throughout the claims process
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports as required
- Assist with general departmental administration and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in claims administration or credit support roles
- Proficient in MS Office at an intermediate level; familiarity with JD Edwards and Salesforce is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in cross-department liaison
- Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong time management capabilities
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset towards claim resolution
- Ability to work under KPIs and maintain compliance with audit standards
- Collaborative team player adept at building strong internal and external relationships
