About the Role
Abrivia Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Claims Handler to join a client in the insurance industry, based in Dublin. This role offers a hybrid working model requiring attendance in the office three days a week. The position provides the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of European insurance claims, blending claims administration with data analysis, oversight of third-party service providers, and continuous process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and facilitate a broad range of claims across European markets, ensuring timely and accurate case progression.
- Collaborate with brokers, loss adjusters, external claims administrators, solicitors, and other relevant third parties.
- Examine claims files and related documentation to guarantee completeness and accuracy.
- Compile and verify claims bordereaux, highlight any missing data, and maintain stringent data quality standards.
- Partner with internal departments and external vendors to refine claims procedures and enhance operational productivity.
- Support third-party claims provider audits and participate in governance processes related to claims management.
- Add to system upgrades, process innovations, and the overall advancement of the claims department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Holding an APA qualification in Commercial Insurance is mandatory; progressing towards or having a CIP qualification is a plus.
- Experience in claims management, claims operations, or broader insurance sector roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the capability to manipulate data using filters and spreadsheets; familiarity with PivotTables is beneficial.
- Highly detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating claims and data.
- Effective communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational abilities to balance tasks while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset and eagerness to deepen technical insurance expertise.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and take initiative in assigned duties.
