About the Role
As a Claims Consultant within our Auckland office, you will be integral to providing outstanding customer service by accurately assessing insurance claims, handling service queues efficiently, and building meaningful client relationships. Your role involves evaluating claims according to policy terms in collaboration with the underwriting team, minimizing risk, and ensuring precise outcomes. Operating on a rotating roster from Monday to Friday, your shifts will last 8 hours between 8:30am and 5:15pm. The position commences on 21 September 2026 and includes a mandatory six-week training program onsite, after which you will enjoy a flexible workplace arrangement combining office and home-based work.
Responsibilities
- Assess and process claims in compliance with product coverage terms to reduce risk and ensure underwriting accuracy.
- Manage claims and related correspondence within defined service level agreements.
- Provide clients with courteous, expert guidance aligned with company service standards.
Candidate Profile
- Motivated and meticulous with excellent communication and administrative capabilities.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric focus.
- Experience in claims assessment, preferably in life, health, or travel insurance domains.
- A proactive team player known for punctuality and willingness to support colleagues.
