Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of categorizing, approving, and documenting claims within existing contracts as a key member of the project team.
  • Identify and monitor project workflow disruptions and facilitate contractual negotiations related to construction time extensions and financial compensations.
  • Systematically classify warranty issues and maintain ongoing tracking of warranty defects.
  • Engage in written and verbal communication with suppliers and general contractors in both German and English.
  • Participate actively in negotiation meetings with suppliers and audit supplier invoices against contractual agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal claim and warranty processes, enforcing counterclaims and self-claims.
  • Report to overall project management on current claim statuses and anticipated additional claims.
  • Handle contractual matters and assist project management by acting as a liaison between technical, purchasing, and legal departments.
  • Contribute to the preparation of decision documents and maintain continuous interaction with colleagues in claim and warranty management.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed university degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in claim management for large-scale industrial or construction projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency with common MS Office tools, as well as SAP and ThinkProject, is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and structurally with a team-oriented and adaptable mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and negotiation aptitude when liaising with clients and suppliers.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
