Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Technical Office Engineer specializing in Wet Utilities to join our team based in Jeddah. This role involves preparing and reviewing detailed technical drawings and ensuring smooth coordination for various utility networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and vet detailed shop drawings for gravity drainage systems, including sewerage and stormwater networks.
- Prepare and review drawings for pressurized systems such as water supply, firefighting, and irrigation networks.
- Create comprehensive drawings for structural elements like manholes, chambers, thrust blocks, and pipe connection details.
- Produce fully coordinated fabrication and shop drawings from design packages prior to submission and on-site execution.
- Compile Purchase Requisitions and Material Submittals for pipes, fittings, valves, and other network components.
- Liaise with suppliers to procure shop and fabrication drawings for specialized network elements.
- Generate precise Material Take-Offs (MTO) and validate Bill of Quantities based on approved drawings.
- Address Requests for Information (RFIs) and offer technical guidance to site teams concerning levels, slopes, alignments, and design conflicts.
- Ensure seamless technical coordination with clients, consultants, suppliers, and onsite teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in wet utilities, infrastructure projects, or technical office operations.
- In-depth familiarity with gravity and pressurized utility systems.
- Expertise in sewerage, stormwater drainage, water supply, firefighting, and irrigation network designs.
- Strong understanding of pipe materials, valves, fittings, and allied utility components.
- Competence in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
- Proven experience with shop drawing preparations, material take-offs, submittals, and technical coordination activities.
