Role Overview

We are on the lookout for a Civil 3D Technician to assist in designing and delivering water and wastewater infrastructure across Ireland, the UK, and internationally. This role involves creating meticulously coordinated Civil 3D models and technical drawings for various civil assets such as treatment plants, pumping stations, and pipelines. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams adhering to ISO 19650 and relevant industry norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively within a larger team environment.
• Develop and update Civil 3D models and technical drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings, profiles, sections, and project-specific schedules.
• Design and maintain alignments, surfaces, corridors, pipe networks, and earthworks models.
• Support the delivery process in compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
• Coordinate models and drawings among civil, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines.
• Assist with model coordination and clash detection workflows using Navisworks or comparable software.
• Implement design alterations and manage revisions of models and drawings.
• Ensure data and drawings are maintained accurately within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Support engineers in drawing production and advancing design developments.
• Contribute to project handover documents and asset information outputs.
• Deliver modelling and drawing tasks punctually and with high precision.
• Promote continuous improvements across projects and workplace practices.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to meet evolving company requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of five years’ experience is desirable; candidates with less experience but exceptional skills will be considered.
• Familiarity with civil infrastructure design, construction methods, and applicable regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is essential; experience with AutoCAD and Revit collaboration is a plus.
• Experience producing General Arrangement drawings, profiles, and sections.
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
• Strong ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Good command of written and spoken English, with clear and effective communication in technical environments.
• Capacity to work successfully within a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
• Possess a proactive and flexible mindset with a willingness to take initiative.
