Role Overview
The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) position is a senior management role responsible for leading the bank's comprehensive risk management activities, ensuring effective governance, regulatory adherence, and risk mitigation across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Credit, Market, Liquidity, and Operational risks across the organization.
- Develop and strengthen risk management policies, frameworks, and set the institution's risk appetite.
- Continuously monitor risk exposures, limits, concentrations, and identify emerging risks.
- Ensure compliance with Basel standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Offer independent risk assessments and guidance to Senior Management, the Board, and the Risk Committee.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in banking risk management roles.
- Proven leadership experience in senior risk positions within commercial banking.
- Educational background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration at the bachelor's or master’s level.
- International certifications such as FRM, ACCA, CFA, or other relevant qualifications are preferred.
