As a Manager in Technology & Information Security Risk, you will be a vital contributor within the Technology, Data & Information Security & Tech BU Support Centre of Excellence. Your key responsibility will involve identifying, understanding, and managing technology, cyber, data, and information security risks throughout the organisation.

You will collaborate closely with technology, cybersecurity, and business teams, offering trusted risk guidance, assisting governance frameworks, and helping to implement robust controls. This role supports vital technology and security portfolios and key projects such as cyber risk remediation, risk assessments, and continual risk management improvement initiatives. Based in Auckland or Wellington, this permanent, full-time position offers you an opportunity to influence the management of technology and information security risks to meet regulatory standards while supporting secure and sustainable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate technology, data, and information security risk evaluations, assisting teams in identifying and closing control gaps.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to establish and maintain effective risk controls and enhance risk management practices.
• Provide risk analytics, insights, and reporting to support governance meetings, regulatory compliance, and leadership decisions.
• Participate in policy and regulatory change projects, remediation duties, and continuous enhancements of risk and control frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Background in technology risk, information security risk, cyber risk, data risk, or operational risk.
• Comprehensive knowledge of risk and control frameworks, including designing controls, assessing effectiveness, and assurance processes.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and identifying opportunities to strengthen controls within processes, systems, or technological environments.
• Experience supporting governance activities, remediation efforts, regulatory changes, or initiatives aimed at enhancing risk management.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence and collaborate across business, technology, and risk functions.
• Ability to analyze complex data and translate risk requirements into practical and feasible business outcomes.
