Role Overview
The Chief Placement Officer (CPO) is an executive leadership role responsible for overseeing career services, corporate relationships, and all student placement activities. This position acts as the strategic link between BEAT Educations and the corporate ecosystem, tasked with broadening the hiring network, forging high-value corporate alliances, formalizing strategic MoUs, and ensuring full placement success across all certification programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic approach to corporate outreach across domains including IT, Data, Finance, and Corporate Services to expand BEAT's hiring partnerships.
- Secure significant alliances and enterprise-level hiring agreements with Fortune 500 firms, multinational companies, and emerging startups by engaging CXOs and senior HR leaders.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and management to Corporate Relations and Placement teams to surpass placement objectives at multiple campuses and cohorts.
- Manage end-to-end placement activities including mega job fairs, virtual/on-campus recruitment drives, and exclusive corporate hiring sessions.
- Create and maintain SOPs for processes such as candidate shortlisting, recruiter communication, offer letter issuance, and post-placement follow-up.
- Gather industry insights on hiring trends, skill requirements, and compensation to offer strategic advice to academic teams and adjust curricula accordingly.
- Collaborate with course directors to incorporate employer feedback and market demands directly into academic programs.
- Lead initiatives like CXO advisory panels, guest lectures, and mentorship programs that connect students with industry experts.
- Represent BEAT Educations at national education conferences, corporate summits, and industry-academic networking events.
- Define and monitor placement performance metrics, delivering reports and insights to the Board and executive leaders.
Performance Indicators
- Attainment of placement targets for all graduating classes.
- Expansion of the corporate partner network and increase in signed MoUs annually.
- Improvement in candidate compensation packages both average and top-tier.
- Maintaining recruiter satisfaction and encouraging repeat hiring from existing partners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related executive field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years professional experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles such as Head of Placements, Director of Corporate Relations, or Senior Talent Acquisition within EdTech, higher education, or executive search sectors.
- Robust and active network with senior corporate decision-makers across IT, Technology, Finance, and Enterprise industries.
- Proven capabilities in executive leadership, strategic negotiation, and building lasting partnerships.
- Expertise in data-driven analyses, CRM platform usage, and placement tracking/reporting dashboards.
- Thorough understanding of early-career hiring approaches, including internship models and corporate reskilling strategies.
Minimum education
Master's Degree
