Job description
Position Overview
This role is for a Chief Engineer onboard a Lift Boat based in Qatar offshore, specifically Hull 1621.
Experience Requirements
- At least five years serving as a Chief Engineer.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working on DP2 Jack-Up Barges or Lift Boats.
- Demonstrable expertise with DP2 Lift Boat or Jack-Up Barge operations.
Educational and Certification Requirements
- Degree from an accredited Maritime Academy or University.
- Valid Unlimited Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency aligned with STCW A-III/2.
- Valid national Certificate of Competency properly endorsed or recognized by the relevant Flag State.
- Completion of a DP System Manufacturer approved DP Maintenance Course.
- Current BOSIET/FOET certification including HUET.
- Possession of an up-to-date Seafarer Medical Fitness Certificate according to STCW I/9 regulations.
- Completed Basic Safety Training as per STCW A-VI/1.
- Certification in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats operations as per STCW A-VI/2-1.
- Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF) qualification under Regulation VI/3.
- Medical First Aid and Medical Care certifications adhering to STCW A-VI/4-1 and A-VI/4-2 standards.
- Security Training in line with STCW A-VI/6.
- Completion of the Management Level Course (MLC) for Marine Engineer Officers as specified in STCW A-III/2.
- Training in Engine Room Resource Management (ERM) conforming to STCW A-III/2.
