Job Overview

The role involves providing expert guidance as the primary liaison for international clean energy projects, specifically focusing on clean hydrocarbon technologies. The position requires active participation in global energy forums and initiatives to maintain leadership in sustainable and climate-focused technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the official representative for international clean energy engagements.
• Engage in global events such as the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Forum, Mission Innovation, and the Global Methane Initiative to advance hydrocarbon-related technologies.
• Develop and recommend evaluation criteria for tracking international clean energy, sustainability, and climate change initiatives, with a focus on Saudi Arabia's strategic roles.
• Advise on integrating national policies to mitigate greenhouse gas impacts across various sectors.
• Support advancements in R&D for technologies aimed at reducing and eliminating CO2 emissions from traditional fuels.
• Propose initiatives to foster innovation in transforming carbon dioxide into economically valuable products and encourage collaborative pilot projects.
• Promote both international and domestic research efforts in emerging technologies including direct air carbon capture, ship-based carbon capture, synthetic fuels, and hydrogen.
• Coordinate with research institutions within the kingdom to define their participation in global energy initiatives and facilitate preparation for related conferences.
• Drive the adoption and promotion of the Circular Carbon Economy framework across Saudi Arabia's participation in global initiatives.
• Provide guidance on monitoring the execution of bilateral international agreements concerning climate change, carbon management, and clean energy.
• Comply strictly with organizational norms, policies, and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as delegated by supervisory personnel.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in fields such as Energy Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Climate Change-related disciplines is mandatory.
• A master's degree in the mentioned fields is highly desirable.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in the clean energy or related field is required.
