Role Overview
The Chemistry Content Developer position involves creating clear and insightful MCAT solution content related to chemistry, ensuring all materials abide by company standards and provide thorough explanations.
Responsibilities
- Compose precise and student-friendly MCAT answers for both passage-based and discrete chemistry questions, adhering to Jack Westin’s quality and content guidelines.
- Deliver detailed explanations that clarify why correct options are accurate and why alternative options are incorrect.
- Maintain uniformity in solution format, tone, terminology, and granular level across all assignments.
- Produce about five assignments daily, each including one passage with 5–6 related questions or one set of 4–5 discrete questions, consistently meeting quality benchmarks.
- Manage assignments through review phases, incorporating feedback and revisions promptly while upholding quality requirements.
- Submit polished, ready-for-publication solutions punctually by agreed deadlines.
- Verify solutions for scientific correctness, clarity, grammatical quality, and alignment with MCAT and AAMC standards.
- Add relevant visuals, diagrams, or supplementary materials when they enhance student comprehension.
- Respond to feedback swiftly and complete requested changes accordingly.
- Coordinate closely with the Director of Product and Science Content Manager to guarantee quality, fulfill project criteria, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field such as organic chemistry or biochemistry.
- Experience in research or clinical settings.
- Background knowledge in medicine or health sciences is advantageous.
Additional Information
Employment may be conditional upon satisfactory completion of background checks, reference verification, employment history, education, and credential validations as permitted by law. The company holds the discretion to conduct these checks in line with applicable legal standards.
Compensation
The project remuneration is set at $800 for complete delivery, with the project concluding by October 31, 2026.
