About the Role

Ecolab is recruiting a Chemist to perform specialized laboratory tasks that support the advancement of technical platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Perform analyses and experiments on both organic and inorganic substances to assess and enhance their applications.
• Conduct experimental work to replicate or improve various materials and compounds.
• Engage in research initiatives aimed at developing new processing or production methods.
• Investigate and explore potential new uses for existing technical platforms.
• Collect and analyze data, summarize findings in detailed technical reports and project checkpoints, and provide recommendations to guide project outcomes.
• Contribute to creating differentiated technologies, including new products, processes, or systems.
• Provide professional support within the division.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebook records and prepare reports documenting experimental work.
• Develop and select suitable methods, tests, and procedures for assignments.
• Innovate applications and extensions for current or new products, processes, systems, or methods of significant business value.
• Ensure protection of proprietary project innovations through appropriate legal measures such as patents.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is required (degrees in Biology or Biochemistry may not align with the role).
• Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, optimally in chemical blending industries or alternatively in third-party laboratories.
• Operational knowledge of analytical laboratory instruments.
• Familiarity with physical analysis, spectrophotometric techniques, as well as quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Chromatographic analysis skills are preferred.
• Experience working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions is advantageous.

• Demonstrated creativity in developing innovative solutions relevant to business applications.
• Self-motivated, capable of independent work, and proficient in managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
