About the Role
The Chemist position at a prominent beverages company involves overseeing and verifying that products adhere strictly to internal governance, quality management systems, and legal standards. The role ensures accurate quality assurance testing and documentation in line with company protocols.
Primary Responsibilities
- Adhere to internal governance, quality systems, health, safety, environmental policies, laboratory safety, chemical handling, pollution control, and regulatory compliance during testing and lab activities.
- Achieve 100% satisfaction in taste and appearance of products.
- Ensure 100% satisfaction for Brix and Glass Value (GV) parameters.
- Maintain 100% satisfaction with microbiological standards.
- Maintain 100% satisfaction regarding date code correctness.
- Ensure 100% satisfaction with closure functionality.
- Maintain 100% satisfaction for net content accuracy.
- Achieve a Minimum Quality Index (MQI) score of 100 year-to-date.
- Keep Brix & GV process capability index (Cpk) ≥ 1.33 across all production runs and flavors using Carbo QC methodologies.
- Ensure Net Content Cpk ≥ 1.33 for all runs and flavors.
- Maintain Ready To Consume (RTC) Cpk ≥ 1.33 for all production runs and flavors.
- Ensure PET bottle wall thickness Cpk ≥ 1.33 across all runs and flavors using stress crack analysis.
- Conduct two successful internal audits annually.
- Develop and implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
- Maintain certifications including QMS, FSMS, HACCP, EMS, and OHSAS with zero minor non-conformances.
- Identify root causes of nonconforming products and complete CAPs within specified deadlines.
- Ensure 100% proper segregation and isolation of nonconforming products.
- Strictly follow company policies, procedures, and Kore requirements.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas and prevent contamination of products, ingredients, packaging, and equipment.
- Use only approved materials and tools, ensuring quality and food safety are not compromised.
- Promptly report any conditions affecting product quality, food safety, or GMP compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
- Between 2 to 5 years of professional experience in beverage, water, dairy, fruit juice, or pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
