Charity Canvasser

About the Role

Join SunSpark Canvassing Inc. as a Charity Canvasser representing reputable nonprofit groups such as Save the Children, Red Cross, and UNICEF. This position involves direct, face-to-face fundraising efforts at various locations including streets, shopping malls, plazas, and retail outlets throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with diverse individuals daily to advocate for and raise funds for humanitarian causes.
• Travel between multiple fundraising venues across the GTA to maximize outreach.
• Work actively within a vibrant, social team environment while developing communication and leadership skills.

Work Schedule and Location

• Fundraising activities take place at outdoor streets, malls, plazas, and retail locations.
• Workdays are scheduled from Tuesday through Sunday, with shifts running between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
• Each shift lasts 7 hours with a minimum commitment of four days per week.

Compensation and Benefits

• Guaranteed starting pay of $19 per hour.
• After completing training (10 shifts) and a performance evaluation, pay increases to $20 per hour plus eligibility for commissions and bonuses.

• Background experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or fundraising is advantageous but not mandatory.
