Job Summary

The Product Safety Certifier II role based in Bengaluru involves delivering high-quality certification services for industrial products, ensuring adherence to product safety standards. This position requires proficient interpretation of applicable standards and procedures to make informed technical decisions that uphold CSA's certification program integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple certification projects independently, ensuring adherence to safety requirements and delivering results within deadlines and budget constraints.
• Evaluate complex products against domestic and international standards and precedents, contributing to high-revenue projects.
• Prepare certification reports and authorize the use of the CSA Mark based on thorough review of test data and reports.
• Provide technical support to clients in troubleshooting issues without compromising proprietary information.
• Collaborate with sales teams to maintain current clients and develop new business opportunities, including preparing project cost and time quotations.
• Explain various product certification programs and production control requirements to clients.
• Generate test lab work orders and documentation detailing test plans, relevant standards, data collection methods, and hazard analyses.
• Guide laboratory technicians to ensure accurate testing processes and data collection methodologies.
• Perform or oversee witness testing activities and conduct field visits to manufacturers' facilities as needed.
• Participate in internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and recommend enhancements to laboratory safety and capabilities.
• Maintain expertise in relevant national and international standards through ongoing research and suggest revisions for technical consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with approximately 5 years of relevant experience, or Diploma in Engineering with around 7 years of related experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of North American, Canadian, and IEC safety standards and testing procedures for industrial products.
• Experience in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC), preferably within industrial sectors, or background in manufacturing.
• Preferred candidates will have familiarity with CSA certification programs and services or experience from competing organizations in the field.
