Certified Drone Operator

Role Summary

We are searching for a Certified Drone Operator to execute drone-assisted cleaning tasks on building facades and other exterior structures at various sites across Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time role demands expertise in safely piloting commercial drones for cleaning facades, glass surfaces, solar panels, roofs, and similar exteriors while adhering strictly to operational protocols and safety regulations.

Core Duties

• Operate drone-based cleaning equipment with safety and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight drone inspections.
• Clean facades, glass surfaces, solar installations, and rooftops using drones.
• Assess weather and site conditions prior to operations to ensure safety.
• Follow established flight plans, operational guidelines, and company SOPs.
• Maintain precise flight and operational logs.
• Perform site inspections and risk assessments before starting work.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and on-site personnel for smooth operations.
• Establish safety perimeters and control access with appropriate barricades.
• Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are secured ahead of drone activities.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies; use PPE diligently and promptly report any incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain the safety of public, clients, project teams, and property during all operations.
• Inspect and upkeep the drone and related equipment including batteries, controllers, pumps, hoses, and nozzles through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Report equipment faults and assist in basic mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Complete daily work logs, flight records, before-and-after photographic documentation, service completion reports, and maintain equipment maintenance files.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least two years of commercial drone operation experience is desirable.
• Experience in drone-assisted facade or high-rise cleaning, inspections, or industrial drone operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with cleaning systems and pressure-washing equipment will be beneficial.
• A valid UAE driving license is advantageous.
• Possession of a valid UAE drone or remote pilot license will be prioritized; however, applicants without a license but relevant experience and skills may be considered.
• Candidates should be willing and qualified to meet UAE commercial drone operational criteria.
