Job Overview

The Center In-Charge role involves comprehensive oversight and management of a skill development training center. Key responsibilities include coordinating trainees, trainers, and mobilization teams, maintaining MIS and documentation, monitoring training progress, and ensuring compliance with project standards and guidelines primarily under NSDC, PMKVY, and other government skill development initiatives.

Primary Duties

  • Oversee daily administrative and operational functions of the training center.
  • Collaborate effectively with trainers, mobilization personnel, assessors, candidates, and project management teams.
  • Maintain detailed records of trainee attendance, enrollment, batches, assessments, certifications, and placement outcomes.
  • Prepare and update MIS reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence along with other project-related documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt data entry on designated project portals and MIS systems.
  • Monitor training sessions, trainer attendance, batch schedules, and center infrastructure conditions.
  • Adhere strictly to guidelines and quality standards mandated by NSDC, SSC, and project-specific SOPs.
  • Coordinate assessment, certification, audits, inspections, and monitoring visits systematically.
  • Maintain complete physical and digital records for project audits and verifications.
  • Track trainee progression, attendance, dropouts, assessments results, and placement status efficiently.
  • Resolve operational challenges collaboratively with internal management and stakeholders.
  • Provide support for candidate mobilization, counselling, onboarding, and retention activities as needed.
  • Ensure the training center is well-maintained, professionally organized, and ready for audits at all times.

Qualifications and Skill Set

  • A graduate degree in any discipline is required; certifications or diplomas in Skill Development or MIS are advantageous.
  • Possess no less than two years of relevant experience in roles such as MIS, Center In-Charge, Center Coordinator within NSDC, PMKVY, State Skill Missions, or similar government or skill development projects.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, email communication, and online MIS/portal platforms.
  • Strong capabilities in documentation, systematic reporting, and record management.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage trainees and trainers efficiently.
