Catering Assistant

Role Overview

Join the catering team in Parkmore, Galway, assisting in delivering high-quality catering services to employees of a major multinational manufacturing firm. This role focuses on enhancing customer experience in our restaurant environment through positive and engaging service.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 15:00 (hours may vary)
• Opportunity for weekend overtime
• Hourly wage of c14.15
• Uniform, shoes, and staff meals provided during shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the front-of-house team with tills, service counters, and back-of-house tasks as needed
• Maintain high standards of food service delivery
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and practices
• Work cooperatively as part of a team to achieve shared objectives
• Embrace flexibility for occasional overtime shifts based on site needs

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes

• Previous experience in a fast-paced catering environment preferred
• Background in hospitality or catering advantageous
• Strong time management abilities
• Familiarity with Food Hygiene practices, including HACCP, preferred
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work independently when required
• Friendly and personable with good interpersonal skills
