Category Manager with Russian Language Proficiency

About the Role

AM.PM is seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our Dubai-based team, responsible for owning and leading a product category within the designated territory. This position demands the creation and execution of category strategies, handling the product portfolio lifecycle, uncovering market opportunities, and enhancing key commercial performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and deploy category and product strategies tailored to the designated territory.
• Establish product positioning, value propositions, pricing approaches, and assortment plans aligned with market requirements.
• Conduct thorough analyses of consumer demand, market trends, and competitor activity to spot emerging opportunities and segments.
• Develop and oversee both short-term and long-term assortment matrices.
• Manage product lifecycle stages, including launches and discontinuations.
• Define product requirements and market needs directly influenced by territorial demands.
• Optimize product costs and profitability metrics.
• Track and boost critical commercial KPIs such as revenue, margin, sales, and inventory turnover.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance category growth and commercial success.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in Category Management, Product Management, or comparable commercial roles.
• Experience dealing with retail products and understanding of end consumer behavior.
• Proficiency in Excel and structured data evaluation.
• Expertise in category strategy, assortment management, pricing strategies, and product lifecycle oversight.
• Strong analytical aptitude combined with commercial acumen managing sales, margins, costs, and inventory turnover.
• Advanced user skills in Excel, Power BI, and 1C software.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication abilities, proactive initiative, and a focus on delivering results.
