Category Management Specialist

Overview

A leading global mining firm seeks a highly driven professional to join their Procurement team, managing a portfolio within the mining categories. Reporting directly to the Group Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the HME (Heavy Mobile Equipment) and Labour Hire categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the effective development, rollout, execution, and adherence of critical and high-value contracts.
• Formulate and deploy category strategies, contractual agreements, performance indicators, operational processes, and policies.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proven capability in creating and implementing global or regional category strategies within the mining or resource sectors.
• Experience in senior procurement roles such as Category Management Specialist, Contract Specialist, or Procurement Specialist.
• Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.

Additional Details

The role is located in Perth CBD with flexibility to work remotely 2 to 3 days per week. The pay rate is approximately $85 per hour plus superannuation.
