This Category Management Analyst role is embedded within Glovo's Q-commerce business unit that focuses on quick commerce across three main verticals: Groceries, Retail, and Micro Fulfillment Centers (Glovo's own fulfillment channel). The mission is to deliver a wide range of immediate products, from video games to groceries, enhancing city living convenience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure product additions with appropriate margins and availability.
- Drive the defining and refining of product assortment strategies to meet user needs effectively.
- Ensure an excellent shopping experience by properly categorizing and ordering products.
- Design, execute, and monitor processes to enforce content strategy and quality.
- Manage promotional activities and leverage cross-selling opportunities to maximize customer value.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in global markets within FMCG, Retail, or on-demand service sectors, especially in Category Management, Trade Marketing, or Purchasing roles.
- Background in e-commerce is advantageous.
- Understanding of retail business fundamentals and category management principles.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and experimentation.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at influencing and building global strategies and networks.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
- Adaptable to a rapidly evolving, high-growth startup environment with a fast pace.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are beneficial.
