Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your skills in retail. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service during checkout to foster customer loyalty. Cashiers play a crucial role in protecting company assets through vigilant attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet every customer with politeness and friendliness.
- Efficiently handle all purchase transactions, ensuring proper deactivation of merchandise per the EAS Program.
- Promote Walmart's sponsor programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity initiatives.
- Help customers bag and load their purchased items.
- Practice and maintain safe work habits including proper lifting techniques and a tidy work area.
- Secure register operations with diligent cash handling, compliance with company policies, and situational awareness.
- Refer any service or transactional concerns to the Customer Service Manager when necessary.
Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $16.50 per hour.

- Must be at least 16 years old.
