Cashier

Overview

This cashier role is based at a physical store where you will engage directly with customers to support their shopping experience.

Language Requirement

Fluency in English is required to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed secondary (high) school graduation.

Experience

This position requires between 1 to less than 7 months of relevant work experience.

Work Location

All work responsibilities are to be performed on site at the store location in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. Remote work is not an option.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register efficiently.
• Process various payment methods including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
• Scan merchandise accurately.
• Collect payments for goods or services provided.
• Engage in suggestive selling to enhance sales.
• Maintain store appearance by stocking shelves and keeping the counter area clean.
• Welcome and greet customers warmly.
• Package merchandise by wrapping or placing items in bags.
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the transaction.
