Position Overview

Working as a Cashier at Walmart Canada offers the opportunity to enhance skills within the retail sector. Key Duties

• Warmly greet every customer with courtesy and friendliness.
• Efficiently process purchase transactions including merchandise deactivation following the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
• Promote Walmart’s sponsor programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity initiatives.
• Assist customers with bagging and loading purchased items.
• Adhere to safety protocols like proper lifting techniques and keeping the workspace clean and orderly.
• Safeguard register security by careful cash handling, compliance with company policies, and situational awareness.
• Direct customers to a Customer Service Manager for specialized services or transactional inquiries when necessary.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.75 per hour.
