Job Overview
The Cashier position is vital in delivering excellent customer service by efficiently processing checkout and return transactions with friendliness, accuracy, and safety. Cashiers are responsible for overseeing the Self-Checkout section and continuously expanding their product and project knowledge to assist customers and identify additional sales opportunities. They adhere to company policies and procedures to reduce shrinkage.
Key Duties
Head Cashiers play a leadership role by organizing cashier assignments, facilitating price checks, and authorizing point of sale transactions and markdowns across various service points, including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They act as the first point of escalation for customer concerns and contribute to supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates. This involves onboarding new Cashiers and using all available resources to develop team skills.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate for the Head Cashier role should have at least one year of prior experience handling cashier responsibilities.
