Job description
Overview
The role of a Cashier is pivotal in delivering fast, friendly, precise, and safe service to customers. Responsibilities include handling checkout and return transactions and overseeing the Self-Checkout area. Cashiers actively acquire knowledge about products and projects to inform customers and identify sales opportunities. Strict adherence to store policies is required to reduce shrinkage.
Additional Role for Head Cashier
A Head Cashier supervises and supports Cashiers by managing price checks, authorizing Point of Sale (POS) transactions and markdowns across main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They serve as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns and assist in the training and development of Front End Associates and new Cashiers through coaching and training tools.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Head Cashier position has over one year of prior experience as a Cashier.
