Position Overview

Becoming a Cashier at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail skills. As a Cashier, you will deliver outstanding customer service throughout the payment process, fostering customer loyalty. You will be vigilant in preventing losses and safeguarding the company's assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet every customer, ensuring a friendly interaction.
• Efficiently handle all purchase transactions, including deactivating merchandise according to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
• Encourage customers to participate in company-sponsored programs like credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable campaigns.
• Support customers by assisting with bagging and loading their items.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including correct lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Secure the cash register and maintain its integrity through careful cash handling and compliance with company policies while staying alert to surroundings.
• Direct customers to a Customer Service Manager when specific service or transactional needs arise.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $15.50.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
