Cashier - Full Time Night Shift

About the Role

Become a key part of a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Victoria, British Columbia, delivering exceptional health, beauty, and convenience services while placing customer satisfaction at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and engage warmly with every customer.
• Keep the checkout area clean, orderly, and welcoming at all times.
• Greet customers with a friendly demeanor to create a positive shopping experience.
• Precisely scan or input product information during transactions.
• Handle cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum points with accuracy.
• Promptly request customers’ PC Optimum Cards during each purchase.
• Complete proper documentation related to customer receipts and returns.
• Maintain merchandising standards including facing, signing, and labeling assigned areas.
• Adhere strictly to loss prevention protocols and manage cash, lottery, and stamp inventory responsibly.
• Present a professional appearance by following the Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines.
• Observe all health and safety regulations, along with store policies and procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and uphold the store’s image standards.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Candidate Qualifications

• Ability to make sound plans, exercise judgment, and make decisions.
• Balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to maintaining neatness.
• Capable of handling customer transactions efficiently.

Experience and Skills

• Proficiency with computers and cash register systems.
• Highly organized with good record-keeping capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail in daily tasks.

Compensation
