Position Overview

Cashiers are vital to delivering excellent customer experience by providing prompt, courteous, accurate, and secure service. Their duties include managing checkout and return transactions and overseeing the self-checkout area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform checkout and return operations efficiently and accurately.
• Oversee and maintain the Self-Checkout zone.
• Acquire and share product and project knowledge to inform customers and suggest sales opportunities.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures to reduce product shrinkage.
• Head Cashiers coordinate cashier activities, handle price verifications, and authorize sales transactions and markdowns across various points such as mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Address customer issues as an initial escalation point and assist in supervising and mentoring Front End Associates.
• Contribute to training new cashiers and support cashier development through coaching tools and resources.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidates for Head Cashier roles have more than one year of experience as a cashier.
