Position Overview

As a Cashier at The Home Depot located in Schertz, TX, you will provide essential customer service by delivering quick, friendly, and accurate assistance at checkout and returns. You will manage transactions efficiently while ensuring safety and compliance. Maintaining and overseeing the Self-Checkout area will also be part of your duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases and returns accurately and swiftly.
• Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout stations to ensure smooth customer experience.
• Continuously seek knowledge about products and projects to inform customers and identify opportunities for sales.
• Adhere strictly to policies and procedures to minimize losses and theft.
• For those in the Head Cashier role, position and support Cashiers, facilitate price checks, and authorize Point of Sale transactions including markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental departments.
• Handle initial customer escalations and contribute to supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates and new Cashiers.

Requirements

• Preferred experience of one year or more as a Cashier.
