About the Role
Join Walmart Canada as a Cashier in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, and gain valuable experience in the retail sector. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service at the checkout to enhance customer loyalty. As a Cashier, you will also safeguard company assets by maintaining high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer courteous and friendly greetings to every customer.
- Efficiently handle purchase transactions, including merchandise deactivation aligned with the EAS Program.
- Encourage participation in company-sponsored initiatives such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable programs.
- Support customers by assisting with bagging and loading their purchases.
- Follow safe working procedures, including proper lifting techniques and keeping a tidy workspace.
- Uphold the security and accuracy of the cash register through careful money handling and adherence to company policies.
- Direct certain service or transactional inquiries to the Customer Service Manager when needed.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $20.01 CAD.
