Job Overview
Cork International Hotel invites applications for a full-time Receptionist position. This role suits candidates who have prior experience in guest-facing roles and who have a strong enthusiasm for providing outstanding guest interactions. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests upon arrival, using their names and following established procedures such as standard operating protocols (SOPs).
- Ensure all guest registration and checkout documentation complies with Trigon Hotel Group's established standards.
- Manage reservations accurately, aligned with rate policies and sales guidelines.
- Promote in-house sales actively and remain aware of all sales opportunities and company promotions.
- Post payment vouchers correctly from all departments and record all cash received.
- Maintain security of cash, property, and guests' valuables, including safekeeping and issuing receipts.
- Continuously monitor hotel room availability and verify cash float accuracy.
- Comply with uniform standards provided by the hotel and uphold high standards of personal appearance and workplace cleanliness and hygiene.
- Observe and enforce company codes of conduct, safety, hygiene, fire regulations, emergency procedures, and hotel policies including mandates and food standards.
- Keep all work areas clean, safe, and organized, and safeguard company property and stock.
- Provide support with computer operations related to account postings, business control, and daily report analysis.
- Carry out Reservations Coordinator duties if required and comply promptly with management requests.
- Attend training sessions and communication meetings, usually with advance notice.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in guest service, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Strong communication capabilities and proficiency with IT systems.
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
