About the Role
The Cashier position is essential in delivering swift, friendly, accurate, and secure service to customers. Responsibilities include handling checkout and return transactions, overseeing the Self-Checkout zone, and actively enhancing product and project knowledge to assist customers effectively and identify sales opportunities.
Key Duties
Cashing out customers, processing returns, monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area, and adhering strictly to store policies to minimize shrinkage. The Head Cashier additionally supports Cashiers by managing checkout lane assignments, expediting price verifications, authorizing sales transactions, markdowns across various service points such as mainline registers, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They also handle initial customer issue escalations and assist with training and coaching new and existing Front End staff to improve performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of one year or more as a Cashier is preferred to qualify for a Head Cashier role, which involves leadership responsibilities including supervision and coaching.
