Position Overview

The Cashier role involves delivering efficient, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. Responsibilities include processing purchase and return transactions and overseeing the Self-Checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate checkout and return transactions promptly.
• Oversee and maintain the Self-Checkout station to ensure smooth operation.
• Continuously acquire knowledge about products and projects to inform customers and identify chances to enhance sales.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures to minimize inventory shrinkage.
• For Head Cashiers: coordinate cashier positioning, expedite price verifications, approve Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across multiple departments including registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Provide initial customer issue escalation and assist in supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates.
• Participate actively in training new cashiers and employ all available resources to develop the cashier team.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants for the Head Cashier position should have at least one year of cashier experience.
