Job Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers an excellent opportunity to build your retail and customer service skills. As a Cashier, you will deliver outstanding customer service throughout the checkout experience to foster customer loyalty while diligently safeguarding company assets by maintaining a sharp focus on detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer courteously and with a friendly attitude.
- Efficiently process all sales transactions, including merchandise deactivation according to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
- Promote various company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection options, and charitable campaigns.
- Assist customers with bagging and loading their purchases.
- Adhere to safe work procedures, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workstation.
- Protect register security and integrity by handling cash responsibly, following company policies, and staying alert to your surroundings.
- Refer customers to a Customer Service Manager for additional service or transactional needs as necessary.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.50.
