Position Overview

The role of Cashier is essential in delivering prompt, courteous, and precise service to customers. Cashiers handle checkout and return transactions and oversee the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently conduct checkout and return processes while maintaining safety standards.
• Monitor and manage the Self-Checkout zone effectively.
• Actively gain understanding of products and projects to offer customers relevant information and support sales opportunities.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures aimed at reducing shrinkage.
• A Head Cashier additionally assists in positioning Cashiers.
• Expedite price checks and authorize Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across various service areas including main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Serve as first escalation contact for customer concerns.
• Support the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates, including onboarding new Cashiers and using available resources to facilitate team development.

Requirements

• Preferred: Minimum of one year experience working as a Cashier.
