Carpenter

Position Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role located in Sydney, NSW. The position involves performing various carpentry tasks related to renovations, new constructions, and fitout projects, encompassing framing, structural installations, and finish carpentry such as doors, skirting boards, and cabinetry.

Role Responsibilities

• Executing daily carpentry activities including framing, installing structural components, and finish carpentry details.
• Reading and accurately interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials following precise specifications.
• Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Supporting heritage and remedial carpentry tasks as required.
• Collaborating closely with site supervisors and other trade professionals to ensure smooth project progress.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe workspace compliant with construction safety standards.
• Contributing to residential and commercial fitout projects, ensuring timely work completion and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong experience in carpentry across renovations, new builds, and interior fitouts.
• Proficient use of hand and power tools with thorough safety practice.
• Skilled in framing and structural installation according to design plans.
• Expertise in finish carpentry producing high-quality internal and external finishes.
• Possession of relevant trade qualifications or completion of a carpentry apprenticeship.
• Good understanding of construction site safety procedures and ability to comply with them.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Punctual, reliable, and capable of working harmoniously in diverse site teams.
• Holding a White Card and a valid driver's license is advantageous.
